It is fair to say the last twelve months have been a difficult time for everyone, with most businesses facing disruption of some kind.
Housing and construction have been fortunate to be designated as a key sector during the pandemic and arguably has mattered more than ever, with the industry playing a vital role in keeping the economy moving.
The enforcement of home working during periods of lockdown has shifted the mindset of employers and employees; this has led to many businesses reconsidering the importance of the office / workplace. Home working arrangements seem likely to become a more permanent way of life for many.
We are seeing the effects of this first hand, with clients migrating away from the city and setting up home in the region, others deciding to move to properties that can accommodate more substantial home working space, whilst some have taken the opportunity to extend or reconfigure their existing property to incorporate spaces that can serve as home offices.
Meanwhile, despite the planning challenges that the Solent region has faced over the past couple of years with nitrate pollution, house building in the south remains strong for both private sector developers and registered providers.
We at Trinity Rose Architecture recognise the opportunities that even challenging markets can present, and continue to grow our talented team’s expertise within the housing sector. Between us, our team has many years of experience working directly with the region’s leading housebuilders.
Please get in touch if you require working drawings or technical help with any of your projects. We would be pleased to hear from you, and delighted to get involved.
